Where no facility exists for welded transom joints, the transom and mullion profiles can be jointed with frame by means of mechanical jointing. Different profile systems implement different way to construct mechanical jointings. Some transom/mullion profiles might be equipped with specific screw ports and can be inserted welded or employed with system connectors. Some have aluminium reinforments equipped with screw ports. Therefore, consultation with us is recommended.

When screwing corrosion-protect screws are to be used. The following illustration shows an example how the mechanical jointing is completed with assistance of a purpose-designed connector. The connectors are to be screwed first into the screw ports and then into the steel.
